Typhoon Haiyan, 2013

The impact of Typhoon Haiyan on the Philippines has been devastating. People around the world have mustered to offer aid. In addition to physical and monetary assistance, we can offer solidarity, hope, and art. These things matter, too.

At Broadsided Press, we believe art and literature are as necessary as the news to understanding the world. They demonstrate the vitality of our interconnectedness.

In November, 2013, artists Maura Cunningham, Ira Joel Haber, and Cheryl Gross offered artwork in response to Typhoon Haiyan. We invited you to respond with words. Amazing poems and pieces of prose came in.

Below are the collaborations that resulted, as well as a short note from the writers and artists about this process. We hope that you will download, print, and share these with your community.
